The leader of the opposition party Togo, Robert Deyt, at a prestigious event, stated: "It is remarkable that our brother Emmanuel Adebayor was honored at the match in Shardzhe. Now he is destined to follow in the footsteps of African football legends like George Weah and Romario, and engage in politics, as he has a large following among people."

Emmanuel Adebayor, former forward of Manchester City and the Togo national team, was invited to start a new chapter in his life and engage in politics after he concluded his football career in March 2023. During his career, he distinguished himself with 237 goals for Real Madrid, Arsenal, City, Tottenham, Crystal Palace, and other clubs.

On Sunday, a prestigious match was held in honor of Emmanuel Adebayor, attended by stars of African football such as Samuel Eto'o, Yaya Toure, Didier Drogba, Patrick Mboma, and Nuanque Kano.
